Joe’s 2 Cents Worth
Pad - The Foundation of Your New Carpet
Joe says, great carpet won't stay great for long without the proper padding to support it. Thicker is not better when it comes to padding. In fact, most carpet manufacturers will not warrant their carpets on any pad thicker than 7/16". Also, the greater that pad's density (measured in pounds per cubic foot), the more support it will provide.
Free is not always free!
Joe asks, "What is the real price of 'free'?" Anytime a big box store or carpet store is giving away their flooring labor for 'free' you can bet that the labor cost is almost always hidden in the price of the materials. You probably don't work for free, and neither do flooring installers.

Remnants - A Great Way to Save Money
Joe asks, "What is a remnant?" Remnants are the end pieces (usually 12' x 9' to 12' x 21') left over from larger rolls of carpet. Purchasing a remnant for a smaller room in your home or office is the perfect way to save money and to get a much higher quality piece of carpet for much less than you might pay for a lower quality carpet. At Weber and Joe's we have a huge selection of carpet remnants to choose from.

Enhanced Vinyl Planks
Joe says, Enhanced Vinyl Planks are a revolutionary new product offering that is quickly becoming the flooring of choice for many consumers because of their stylish designs, durability, and water resistance. These products can be installed where moisture is generally an issue (bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements), yet the style and designs enable these products to be used throughout the home or office.

Want Wood Flooring?
Joe says, all warranties state that you must maintain at least 35% RH. This cannot be achieved without having a working furnace - attached humidifier. The RH generated by portable humidifiers is not sufficient.

Cleaning Your New Carpet
Joe says, most manufacturers require professional cleaning of your carpet at least every 2 years to maintain your warranty using hot water extraction - commonly know as steam cleaning. Other cleaning methods leave detergent residue in your carpet which will attract more soil.
